We have another week of big name teams losing. This NFL season has been riddled with parody across the board. We see teams like the Packers at now 3-6 with past MVP Aaron Rodgers. We see the Rams, the past Super Bowl winners, at 3-5. We have seen a couple breakout teams throughout the years but are this year's the most powerful in recent history? After this great week 9, the trade deadline, and tons of upsets, here are my Week 10 Power Rankings:
1. Buffalo Bills (6-2)
I know that putting the Bills at one after a tough loss in New York will be a tough pill to swallow for a lot of people but they are the best team in the NFL. This loss shows they are beatable, especially when you can rattle Josh Allen. Nevertheless, they are number one and will sit there for a while in my eyes.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (8-0)
We have seen a couple of teams over the last few years come out to undefeated starts and then deflate over time. The Cardinals last year and the Steelers the year before both finished the year 1-4 in their last five games after starting the season 7-0 and 11-0 respectively. Can the Eagles continue this success with such a young core of stars? We shall see.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (6-2)
The Chiefs acquiring Kadarius Toney is a huge get in my opinion. Injuries have halted his short career but the magic he produced on the field at Florida was insanely unique. This OT win over Tennessee is a huge one. Even without Tannehill, the Titans are a solid team.
4. San Francisco 49ers (4-4)
Christian McCaffery has changed this team. They were a well put together team before the McCaffery trade, but after it seems like this offense will be very difficult to stop. This team is much better than the team they had last year and has the ability to make it quite far in a weak NFC.
5. Dallas Cowboys (6-2)
Run-heavy offense has taken an entirely new meaning with the Cowboys this year. With Dak Prescott being out for five games already, this team changed it’s own identity. This coming from a Ravens fan, who woulda thought running the ball as a style of offense would work?
6. Minnesota Vikings (7-1)
At 7-1, I think it's time to show the Vikings some respect. Does this team have flaws? Sure. Are they gonna win the Super Bowl? Probably not. What I do know though is 7-1 is quite the feat and for that I have them at six.
7. Baltimore Ravens (6-3)
I will attempt to be as unbiased as possible here but I feel like seven is a solid rating for the Ravens. This team has the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL and is finally trending towards the heathier side while playing great football.
8. Tennessee Titans (5-3)
When you have Derrick Henry are you ever really a bad team? An impressive showing against the Chiefs taking them to overtime proves this is a playoff level team. Can the other aspects of the offense match Derrick Henry’s production to push this team over the edge?
9. Cincinnati Bengals (5-4)
Life without Ja’Marr Chase was a rough go around in the first game against a relatively unimpressive Browns team. Round two was quite the opposite for the Queen City football team. As my podcast partner Ben would point out, destroying any NFL team is impressive, but at the end of the day they beat my worst team in football.
10. Seattle Seahawks (6-3)
Who would have thought life without Russell Wilson would look this good? Seattle has been one of the most impressive teams and such a pleasant surprise. With a 31-21 win over Arizona, the Seahawks are continuing this great first half of the season.
11. New York Jets (6-3)
The Jets have done what I would basically consider the impossible by beating the Bills. Their New York foe is a juggernaut and the Jets had an incredibly impressive showing. Question for the Jets is are they peaking or is this just the start for them?
12. Miami Dolphins (6-3)
With a healthy Tua Tagovailoa, this team is going to rise. The offense is absolutely next level with the weapons Tua has at his disposal. The other side of the ball is where the question marks are. They have the makings of a team with the ability to make the playoffs and a tough win vs. a streaking Bears team is a great start.
13. New York Giants (6-2)
Another surprise of the year has been the Giants and the performance first year head coach Brian Dabol has put on. Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley are finally becoming what was thought of them when they got drafted. This team is clicking on all cylinders and could easily take a playoff spot.
14. New England Patriots (5-4)
I do not understand the New England Patriots in the slightest bit. They have one of the better defenses in the NFL and started to look better on offense with Bailey Zappe at the helm. Coming off a huge win against the Colts, I have them middle of the pack.
15. Los Angeles Chargers (5-3)
The Chargers had just the highest aspirations going into this season. Injuries is something a Ravens fan can empathize with due to last season. The Chargers slipped past the Falcons but it has been a disappointing year for them.
16. Atlanta Falcons (4-5)
Continuing from 15, the Falcons have had a weird year. They just can’t seem to put their offense in motion correctly by not using the weapons they have drafted. Winning vs. the 49ers and Seahawks but losing to Browns and Saints makes this team such an odd team.
17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5)
Look, let’s just all be honest here. Tom should have retired. This team looks tired and just out of it. With Tom being the leader and having so much going on outside of football, it has translated to a very unimpressive team that is still somehow in first place.
18. Los Angeles Rams (3-5)
What on earth happened to the Rams? They pretty much have the same skeleton of the team that just won the super bowl! Right? No, not at all. An aging Stafford with no WR help besides Kupp has put this team back at mediocrity.
19. New Orleans Saints (3-6)
Another team that has just an immense amount of talent and no QB. My good friend Aaron described this team as the previous Indianapolis Colts after Andrew Luck. The Saints should be better than their record and I believe they are.
20. Cleveland Browns (3-5)
If we are being frank, the Browns are not a bad football team. They just aren’t a good one. Defensive struggles will live on for this team. A bye week this week will be helpful to heal up and get ready for a tough Dolphins matchup next week.
21. Arizona Cardinals (3-6)
What a weird arc for the Cardinals over the last season and a half. This current team doesn’t look like they could beat much of anyone in the top half of the league so I envision a bad finish for this team.
22. Chicago Bears (3-6)
Is Justin Fields finally starting to be the guy we all thought he could be? I sure hope so. As a firm believer in him, I think it is only up from here for him. Can the Bears front office put talent around him? We shall see.
23. Washington Commanders (4-5)
3-1 in their last four games? Are the Commanders for real? No, they are not. The Commanders have a solid amount of talent and really can do some work but it won’t be enough this year without a long term solution at QB.
24. Green Bay Packers (3-6)
Look, the Packers are not good. I think that is evident at this point. I still think Rodgers is quite good but he just has no help. After losing their last four games, they fall into the bottom ten of my rankings.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6)
I will not lie here in this article, I am actually a Jaguars believer. After the 2-2 start and almost beating the Eagles I had faith but they have simply proved me wrong. We are a couple years out I think from the Jags reaching the top half of the league.
26. Las Vegas Raiders (2-6)
Losing to the team I previously ranked is not a good look. The Raiders looked like they could have made quite a splash in the NFL this year and it just doesn’t seem like they have made it over that hump while somehow being worse than last year.
27. Detroit Lions (2-6)
I have a ton riding on the Lions as my bet on the Small Baller Podcast (shameless plug click here to check out the latest episode) with my podcast partner Trevor, relies on them getting a few more wins. I really don’t think they are bad at all and picking up a win this week can hopefully propel them to win my bet.
28. Denver Broncos (3-5)
Somehow the Broncos beat the 49ers earlier in the season. If they played again, I strongly believe the game would be around 30-0. Russell Wilson looks like he has no idea how to run an offense and I think their struggles will only continue.
29. Indianapolis Colts (3-5-1)
The Colts are in an absolute blender. I have no clue who is leading the organization but putting an incredibly inexperienced Jeff Saturday at the helm is an odd move to say the least. I'm surprised Isray doubled down saying he was cool with him having no NFL coaching experience. I wonder how this will end up.
30. Houston Texans (1-6-1)
I really do not think the Texans are THAT bad. They are obviously not good either but I think they have the potential to be way better than the 30th spot. Dameon Pierce is such a unique player and building around him will be the key.
31. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6)
I have an incredible amount of excitement putting the Steelers this low. They have completely blown the floor off and shot down in the expectation that I had for them. Hopefully we can see Tomlin’s first under .500 season.
32. Carolina Panthers (2-7)
As I always say, never bet on Baker Mayfield. The Panthers are genuinely the worst team in the league. They have traded away important assets and have no intentions of winning games this year. CJ Stroud or bust it is.
Can u rank the teams by attractiveness?
